Thaddeus

RATING
86

Allow Thaddeus to warm before you approach; its aromas of coffee, figs, brown sugar and bread crust are noticeable when chilly, but the gentle tobacco and port notes only emerge near room temp. Chocolate leads the flavor into a mashup of prunes and dark cherries, shifting to bread crust, cola and cocoa in the finish. The beer’s well-hidden alcohol and clean character make it an approachable example of the style.
