Fruit Cider

A member of the “specialty cider” family, fruit ciders include apple juice-based drinks with adjuncts of other fruits, such as cherry or blueberry. (Brews made with both apple and pear juice also fall into this category, as they’re neither cider nor perry.) Colors, body, aromas and flavors vary, but a cider character must be present, and not bow to or overwhelm the added fruit flavor. Fruit ciders should appear clear and present a dry to moderate sweetness.
