Fuggle

RATING
80

Though named after a classic British hop variety, the nose on this mild ale is all about the malts: Dry peanut skins, bread dough and cola swirl to the nose with a bit of toast at the edges. The sip draws out raisins and caramel before a midpalate shift toward toast and grain husks. A quick finish is relatively clean, but leaves behind an aftertaste reminiscent of canned green beans.
