DRAFT REVIEW: Samuel Adams Double Bock
RATING
93

This beautiful beer wears a creamy, tan head above its reddish-brown body. Toasted bread scents with light caramel accents fill the air, although a leathery, spicy hop suggestion is faint but noticeable. Robust bread crust flavors splash on the tongue first, leaving behind some brown sugar sweetness and hints of dark chocolate. Echoing the aroma, a quiet, pepper-spice hop note pokes out in the back, but quickly acquiesces to a wave of malts and warming alcohol. With lingering sugary, bready notes on the tongue, this beer is a delicious malt showcase and a dead-on example of the style.
