DRAFT REVIEW: Saison
RATING
93

The care that went into this beer is self-evident;  the brewers exquisitely captured the style’s bold-yet-delicate nature. The orange-gold, hazy liquid looks like honey crowned by a frothy, pearly head that laces the glass. Coriander and floral black pepper spices swirl in the bouquet and are accented by a firm alcohol note. Sweet and fruity, the flavor starts with juicy, sugary orange and lemon tastes balanced by spicy kicks of pepper, coriander, and mild hops. While it never becomes heavy or thick, the beer’s full body does temper the citrus’ refreshing quality. In all, this big beer fantastically toes the line between nuanced and brash flavor statements.
