DRAFT REVIEW: Old Grind Porter
RATING
92

Old Grind pours deep, nutty brown with bright amber highlights topped by a creamy, light brown crown. Soft caramel notes ornament the bouquet’s robust coffee and plum thickness. Caramel sweetness greets the tongue first, before juicy plum gives depth to the swallow. Roasted coffee notes singe delightfully in the back of the throat, earning this beer its robust name. This robust porter successfully accommodates the European tradition for the style, being somewhat lighter in body and having more quaffability than many American porters on shelves. The swallow finishes dry with a mild, lingering nutty note.
