This brew was released last summer in cans, creating much fanfare among IPA enthusiasts. It pours light gold with a big pearl-hued head and emits an aroma full of fresh hop scents, both grassy and floral with a bit of fresh-cracked pepper. Brew Free! is well-balanced; honey sweetness and lightly toasted malt flavors step quickly into lemony hop and peppery spice tastes. The beer seems to latch on to the tongue with an assertive bitterness, before the sweet finish and lemony hops take over and last long into the aftertaste.
