DRAFT REVIEW: Malheur 12
RATING
87

This big Belgian is ruby-hued with a thick, frothy head. It’s highly aromatic; its fragrance races to the nose from eight inches away with burnt sugar, spicy peppercorns, and dark cherry syrup scents. The flavor is intense through the entire swallow with toffee, pear, cracked pepper, and vanilla. The beer is somewhat distracted by an aggressive alcohol presence, one that’s hot and lip-tingling, but the warm sensation in the chest is pleasant. This is a full-bodied brew with a slightly chewy texture, high carbonation, and dry finish.
