DRAFT REVIEW: Full Sail Pale Ale
RATING
90

When you think of American pale ales, you first think of hops. But Full Sail hasn't forgotten that all great beers need balance, and to balance hops you need malt. The aroma of this beer reveals its malty base right from the start. Don't worry -- the hops still come through, but they don't dominate. On the tongue, the rich copper beer has a clean hop flavor that is also balanced by breadlike malt flavors, then the hops and yeast burst into the finish unleashing a palate-full of fruity flavors. Usually, a beer this fruity is also quite filling and dense, but this pale ale is refreshing and clean through the finish.
