DRAFT REVIEW: Original Ruby Stout
RATING
93

What a better way to start a day of tasting than with a surprising beer? This stout is enriched with a port wine, and the results are spectacular. While the amount of wine O'Hanlon adds to its brew is a secret, it's enough to make it noticeable in every aspect of Ruby Stout without being overpowering. The nose has fresh fruits and even some hints of unfermented grapes; the head is robust and the body is clear with an alluring claret color. The first drink is unforgettable and leaves you wishing you had bought a few more bottles. Hearty flavors of roasted grains and toasted bread come through, too, and if they were slightly stronger, we would be inclined to give this beer an even better recommendation.
