This hazy lager reaches the nose with subtle scents of caramel and toasted bread; a dash of orange brightens up the malty bouquet. Caramel takes the lead on the tongue, overpowering the beer’s secondary toasted bread and earthy hop notes; a quieter sweetness would elevate the sip. Firm hop bitterness follows suit, culminating in a dry, chalky finish. All of the style’s hallmark flavors are here, but the swallow just lacks harmony.
