DRAFT REVIEW: Imperial French-Style Ale
RATING
96

This beer not only delivers a whopping ABV, but a bold, dynamic profile to match. A burst of aromatic tangerine and lemon plays well with spicy white pepper and earthy pine. On the tongue, this smooth beer’s incredibly complex: Tangerine and pineapple splash down first alongside grainy, crackerlike malts; mid-sip toasted bread emerges. In the back, pine and a touch of mint accent the fruit before drying alcohol and hop bitterness combine for a clean finish. This is a sipping beer, but one that goes down extremely easy.
