DRAFT REVIEW: Amber Ale
RATING
85

A deliciously sweet nose of caramel and chocolate evokes the candy aisle; hushed, husky grains bring it back into beer territory. On the tongue, Amber’s less confectionary, still coupling caramel and chocolate but with well-balanced bread notes to lift the sweetness from the tongue; a dash of nuttiness adds some complex-ity mid-sip. Along the way, earthy hops cut the beer’s sweetness, but they eventually cede to a caramel-focused finish.
