Love beer, will travel

Whatever your style, there’s a beery trip worthy of your vacation days.

The Jet Setter

A suds-soaked tour of Ireland is a rite for any pious pubgoer; Bon Beer Voyage’s Irish Pub and Brewery Beercation makes the pilgrimage easy. The August journey visits the Blarney Stone in County Cork and the Cliffs of Moher and Burren limestone hills in County Clare, plus plenty of historic pubs and the Guinness Storehouse. In October, the company leads the six-night A Connoisseur’s Tuscany, which includes a guided stroll through Florence, a pasta-making class, tastings and dinner at brewery Conte di Campiglia and a stool at beer bar La Birroteca di Greve. prices vary, bonbeer.com

The Adventurer

Blazed by miners in the mid-1800s, the Rogue River National Recreation Trail is known for its wildflower-laden hillsides, rushing river soundtrack, bear spottings—and now, post-hike beers. Rogue Wilderness Adventures will guide its first four-day, three-night Hop-licious Hiking Adventure on Sept. 3, leading 14 thirsty trekkers through 40 miles of river corridor and stopping only to sleep, eat and sip Oregon brew. Golden Valley brewmaster Mark Vickery (formerly of Deschutes) tags along to lead tastings of beers by Ninkasi, Deschutes and McMenamins. $1,050 per person, wildrogue.com

The Romantic

Pack a bag, grab your main squeeze and hole up at the Forty Putney Road B&B in Brattleboro, Vt. Owned by beer bloggers Tim and Amy Brady, the six-room riverfront inn boasts a cozy in-house pub pouring 30 craft brews, most of them local options from breweries like Rock Art, McNeill’s and Trout River. On Saturday evenings, the pub hosts a casual seven-beer tasting ($19 for inn guests), and monthly Meet the Masters weekend packages (starring guest brewers and samplings) debut this year. from $157 per night, fortyputneyroad.com
