Lipstick, grime, old beer, towel fibers—all things that make delicious beer not so delicious. Soak beer glasses in hot water—skip the soap. (If you feel you must, use a few drops of specialty glassware cleaner like Stem Shine.) Give each glass a thorough hand-washing and a final rinse in fresh hot water, then let dry upside-down on a drying rack or in an open dishwasher—whatever you’ve got that allows air to circulate in and around the glass.
