Brewers’ celeb look-a-likes

In honor of Oscar season, we poured a few beers, paged through our favorite Hollywood rags and did a little casting of our own. Below, the ensemble of actors we’d tap to play 10 of our favorite brewers.

Sam Calagione, played by Josh Hopkins

We’d tap the “Cougartown” hunk for the role of Dogfish Head founder and “Brewmasters” star Calagione.

Garrett Oliver, played by David Alan Grier

The former “In Living Color” funnyman is a close match for the dapper Brooklyn Brewery frontman.

Jim Koch, played by Dustin Hoffman

A younger Hoffman could pass for the Boston Beer Co. exec.

Greg Koch, played by Will Arnett

Arnett could master the Stone CEO’s goofy gaze.

Sean Wilson, played by Dane Cook

The Fullsteam founder wouldn’t be a stretch for the stand-up comedian.

Jack Joyce, played by Frank Langella

Langella might score another Oscar nod for his turn as the Rogue Ales founder.

Fritz Maytag, played by Jack Nicholson

The man who put Anchor Steam on the map and inspired hundreds of craft breweries deserves equally legendary casting; Jack’s just the man for the job.

Tomme Arthur, played by Bruce Willis

A pair of specs and some beard dye might give The Bruce a chance to flex his acting muscle in the role of the Port Brewing/The Lost Abbey tankster.

Patrick Rue, played by Jonah Hill

His curly locks make the “Superbad” star a lock for The Bruery founder.

Rob Widmer, played by Ed Harris

Harris is our choice for one-half of the Widmer Bros. brewing duo… but who would play Rob’s brother, Kurt?
