Intense, prickly alcohol heat breaks through the flavors and combines with hop bitterness to pinch the throat and gums. Old Curmudgeon finishes with sugary molasses and cedar on the tongue, and while it’s enjoyable today, the aggressive alcohol heat suggests it would be outstanding after a year or two in the cellar.
