High Water Imperial IPA

RATING
84

Woody, leafy hops lead in the nose, while robust grain husks, bread crust and rising dough fill out the aroma. Malts are muscular on the tongue with caramel and gently toasted bread swelling through the sip. A flash of hops—like orange oil—arrives midpalate beforehuge hop bitterness storms the tongue. While the malts are wonderfully complex, additional hop flavor would help to elevate this DIPA.
