Even if you’re just making a connection, you can still sip local flavor at these new airport brewpubs.

San Diego International

Grounded in SoCal? Head to Terminal 2, where you’ll find Stone Brewing’s newest location. Dishes like Stone Levitation Ale BBQ Duck Tacos and a Bruschetta BLT offer the same farm-fresh flavors of the brewery’s World Bistro & Gardens, plus 12 taps (including Stone IPA and Arrogant Bastard) to wash it all down.

Tampa International

Jet-setters staring down “delayed” signs only have to travel as far as the Airside C terminal to sip some of the most sought-after beer in the country at the Cigar City Brewing pub. There, you’ll find mainstays like Jai Alai IPA and Maduro Brown Ale, as well as Tony Jannus Pale Ale, a sessionable brew made on-site in a 3-barrel brewing system.

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International

The cherry on top of this airport’s massive renovations was the grand opening of the GPBC Airport Pub inside Terminal A, Good People Brewing Co.’s newest watering hole. Staffed by certified cicerones and stocked with the brewery’s regular offerings, like its pale ale, IPA and brown ale, the pub’s a landing spot for craft drinkers with time to kill.

Colorado Springs

The classy lounge décor, shuffleboard table and sweeping views of the tarmac inside The Bristol Taproom at the Colorado Springs Airport quickly alleviate any aggravation over delays. Park your suitcase and kick back with a selection of Bristol Brewing’s flagship brands, like the malty Laughing Lab Scottish Ale.
