White Knuckle Ale

RATING
97

Mouthwatering orange blossom notes call attention to White Knuckle, but bright floral and grapefruit accents on a bed of lightly toasted caramel keep the nose alive. This stellar amber brew’s full body blankets the tongue, with a strong foundation of toasted malts and caramel sweetness to support the robust pink grapefruit. The play between malt and hops makes for an extremely smooth drinking experience; this is a sophisticated example of how hops can dominate a drink, but still remain in check by way of robust malts. Bitterness follows closely behind gentle alcohol warmth, leaving a very clean finish on the tongue and a grapefruit essence floating in the mouth.
