Race for your weight in beer

Some races are worth the price of admissions just for the post-race beer. The Avery Brewing Co Four of the Fourth could also be worth your weight in beer.

Everyone who finishes the 4K run/walk gets the Boulder brewer’s beer along with breakfast burritos. The overall male and female winners also get to go home with their weight equivalent in beer.

Prizes also include a case of Avery beer for age group winners, and 2nd and 3rd place age group winners receive two six-packs of Avery beer.

This isn’t the first time a race has awarded a weight-based beer prize. This summer, the Calgary Marathon offered this award for its 50th anniversary, and the winner came home with 120 bottles of beer.

Avery, which has a 21st anniversary celebration later this summer, has long been a supporter of earning your beer with sweat. They have also hosted bike rides that start and end at their Tap Room.

More details on the Four on the Fourth race here.
