The Boston Marathon just became even more appealing for runners.

This month, Boston-area Start Line Brewery began production of their running-themed beers, including Night Run Black IPA and Homestretch Dark Chocolate Stout. Their logo appears to be a turtle with a hop shell crawling across a starting line.

Why the running theme? The brewery is located about a mile from the famous marathon start line.

This isn’t the only way to celebrate the Boston Marathon with beer, of course. The Boston Brewing Company also has created a Boston 26.2 brew to reward runners as well as spectators.

The Start Line brewery features hydroponic-grown hops and has beers available in crowlers. According to Eater, Start Line has a 560-square-foot tasting room and seasonal patios for sampling four-glass tasting flights or beers by the glass.

To celebrate this landmark, I’ve put together a ‘Special Edition’ of Brewery Travels: A rundown of my favorites in each of the states visited so far.

Why a Miller Lite Was the Best Beer I’ve Ever Had

I’ve worked in craft beer for nearly five years now. I’ve had the fortune to try some truly amazing brews: Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, Bourbon Barrel Aged Expedition Stout. Supplication? I’ve got one in my mini-fridge. The reason I’m telling you this is because I want to frame my statements here properly. I’ve had good beer, trust me. The best beer I’ve ever had, though, was a Miller Lite.
