Brewed with puréed raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries, this ruby beer fills the air with a robust berry aroma; a slight earthy tartness balances out the sweet bouquet. Lightly toasted and spicy malts, courtesy of its rye ale base, splash down first, and accentuate a fruity tartness that clings to the sides of the tongue. This berry cocktail turns sweet mid-sip (with raspberry being the dominant flavor) as a swell of bitterness counters in the back. Despite its high ABV, this fruit beer’s very drinkable, finishing dry with berry flavors hovering in the mouth. |
